a video can be found by going to the Indiana Ice website, click on the Fanzone tab at the top of the page and then click on Ice on youtube on the pull down menu, As of Tues. eve, clicking on the Ice on youtube box will not do it.

What one thing irritates you the most at an Ice game?

I guess the one thing that really bothers me at a game is how badly the national anthem is butchered. So many of the (mostly) young ladies try to individualize it and end up missing notes and just sounding terrible. I'd much rather have a recording of the song done by a male voice.

If the Ice have playoff aspirations, the next 3 weeks will be a test of those hopes. Starting tonight the team is on the road for 7 straight games. This week the Ice plays 3 out of 4 nights; next week it's 3 straight, and the following week they finish the trip on Thursday in Youngstown, then come home Friday and Saturday nights to play Lincoln. That's a lot of travel and a lot of back-to-backs. Good thing they're young!

Former Indiana Ice player is second in franchise history to NHL when Washington called him up today. Their next game is with Montreal on friday.

Former Ice was traded from the Kelowna Rockets to the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL. He was the leading goal-scorer of the Rockets, but they wanted a 6-4 D-man badly enough to make the trade.

The NHL network is showing Ferris State at Miami of Ohio this weekend 11/13 at 7:00 pm, and 11/14 at noon (most likely a rerun).

Miami features former Ice Cody Reichard in goal as well as Cam Schilling, Joe Harman and Garret Kennedy. They also have Alex Wideman's brother playing for them.
Next season, there should be three of this year's team suiting up for the RedHawks.

Mike Embach and Kyle Bonis are former Ice players with Ferris State.

Busy Traffic Weekend

Just a heads up for anyone attending the Ice games this weekend. The Christmas Gift and Hobby Show is at the Fairgrounds and is open until 10:00 p.m. tonight and tomorrow. That means we will have interlopers parking in the VIP lot and more traffic on the grounds.
